Delhi HC Notifies Vacation Bench For Summer Break 2019 [Read Notification]

The Delhi High Court through a notification dated May 17, 2019, notified its Vacation Bench for Summer Break 2019.

As per the notification, the Vacation Bench will hear matters which require immediate or prompt intervention.

The Judges will sit in Division Benches and also singly to hear urgent Civil and Criminal matters.

Ordinarily, the Judges will sit in Court on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 10.30 am. The sitting may continue for the next succeeding day if matters fixed for any day are not finished on that day.

The Office of the Court will remain open daily from 10 am to 5 pm except on Second Saturday, Sundays and other holidays, if any.

The notification has also clarified that the limitation period will not run during the vacation period for purposes of institution of Civil and Criminal cases.
