It's not the Lack Of Funding, it's the Lack of Infrastructure": Delhi High Court on Plea Seeking Covid Facility For Lawyers

Delhi High Court Covid Facility For Lawyers

A division bench comprising justice Vipin Sanghi and Rekha Palli commented on a plea demanding ICU beds and establishment of covid 19 facilities for lawyers stating, It is not about funding, but it is all about lack of infrastructure.

The bench also stated that it is a complete failure of the state as there is no proper medical structure that can support the creation of any new facilities to fight the covid 19 pandemics.

Appearing in the matter, Chairman, Bar Council of Delhi, Sr. Adv. Ramesh Gupta stated that they are not looking for any monetary help however only connection with a private hospital for ICU beds and a 100-bed facility in a hospital that was being constructed opposite Dwarka court. He also argued the court that comes to the help of the bar and expressing that it would assist help regardless of the Indian Army with being included. "Help us in whatever way

The Division Bench directed that only passing a paper request stating for medical facilities to be made accessible was not going to enough.

The Court also observed the plea by the Chairman, Bar Council of Delhi in which Sr. Adv. Ramesh Gupta said that they are dealing with these issues every day, and it needs to understand that the Covid-19 surge is a "war" and not a fight.
