Maharashtra: Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray on Thursday accused the Maharashtra government, led by Devendra Fadnavis, of attempting to tarnish his reputation. His remarks came shortly after a petition was filed before the Bombay High Court, seeking CBI probe and registration of an FIR against him. The petition was submitted by Satish Salian, the father of Disha Salian, the late manager of actor Sushant Singh Rajput.
Aaditya Thackeray Denies Allegations in Disha Salian Case, Calls It Political Vendetta
Addressing the media, Thackeray stated, “For the past five years, there have been continuous efforts to defame me. If the matter is now before the court, I will respond accordingly. My fight will continue for the betterment of this country.”
Satish Salian Alleges Brutal Murder of Disha, Seeks CBI Probe Against Aaditya Thackeray
Satish Salian’s petition makes serious allegations regarding the events surrounding his daughter’s death. He claimed that Disha was “gang-raped, forcibly restrained, and subjected to brutal sexual assault” at a house party allegedly attended by Thackeray and Bollywood actor Dino Morea. Satish also accused the Mumbai Police of prematurely concluding that Disha’s death was a suicide or accidental fall without thoroughly examining key forensic evidence.
Thackeray dismissed the accusations as politically motivated, calling them a distraction tactic by the BJP government. “They keep bringing up different issues — sometimes Aurangzeb, sometimes others — to divert public attention,” he said.
Satish Salian’s petition not only calls for a fresh investigation into Disha’s death but also seeks an inquiry into Thackeray’s alleged involvement in both Disha’s and Sushant Singh Rajput’s deaths. The plea urges the court to direct the registration of an FIR against Thackeray and to transfer the case to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
Satish’s lawyer, Nilesh Ojha, confirmed that they are in the process of filing the petition and expect it to be numbered at the High Court registry by Thursday. Ojha alleged that Disha was “brutally raped and murdered” and that a politically driven cover-up was orchestrated to protect influential individuals.
