NEW DELHI: A plea has been filed in the Supreme Court bringing into its notice some recent instances of "hate speeches, utterances and statements" made against Hindus and Hindu religion by members of Muslim and Christian community, including call for beheading 'Sar Tan se Juda', followed by actual severing of heads of innocent victims.
After taking a permission from the top court, Advocates Hari Shankar Jain and Vishnu Shankar Jain filed the application, contending, "On multiple occasions, Muslim mobs have brought out processions in which they can be heard calling for beheading “Sar Tan se Juda” and after such call actual incidents of beheading have taken place."
The plea was filed by 'Hindu front for Justice-Trust of Lucknow through its President, Ms Ranjana Agnihotri in a pending petition by journalist Qurban Ali, which alleged hate speeches made in 'Dharm Sansad' organised in Delhi and Haridwar which resulted in filing of FIRs as well as arrest of the accused.
Among the instances, the plea cited a video that recently (02.02.2023) went viral on social media in which one Peerzada Taha Siddiqui of Furfura Sharif, Hooghly, West Bengal can be heard making a call to Muslims to prepare their children for war against Hindus.
On 01.02.2023, one Sultan Usman Khan, a member of the Social Democratic Party of India (SDP), posted a video on social media in which he can be heard making provocative and hateful remarks in the context of Shaligram stone being taken for building idols of Shri Ram and Mata Sita for the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.
Bihar's Education Minister Chandrashekhar Yadav made a derogatory statement on 11.01.2023 against some verses in the religious book composed by Shri Goswami Tulsidas ji, also known as Ramayan, which is routinely worshipped in Temples and by devotees, the followers of Sanatan Vedic Dharm. The Manusmriti is one of the oldest scriptures, the source of Hindu law but same has also been degraded by Yadav in the statement.
On 31.05.2022, in a debate organized by Zee News, Maulana Ilyas Sharafuddin compared Shivling to ‘male private organ’ and said that ‘Hindus are running country by worshipping ‘ling’ and are performing ‘Yoni Pujan’ and mocked Hindus for worshipping the
deities.
On 12.12.2021, Asaduddin Owaisi, the member of Parliament and President of All India Majlis e Ittihadul Muslimeen, said, "Remember this. Yogi will not be the Chief Minister forever. Modi will not remain the Prime Minister forever. We Muslims are silent because of the times, but remember we will not forget the injustice. We will remember your injustice. Allah, by his powers, will destroy you, Inshallah. We will remember. Times will change. Then who will come to save you. When Yogi will go back to his math, when Modi will go to the mountains, then who will come to save you. Remember, we will not forget”.
In video from April, 2021, Amanatullah Khan, Member of Legislative Assembly, Delhi and a member of Aam Aadmi Party, threatened Hindus by saying, "If Muslim comes out on the streets, he will wreak havoc”.
On 17.07.2021 a Christian pastor named George Ponnaiah addressing his followers made the hateful remarks in Tamil language, "We wear shoes. Why? Because the impurities of Bharat Mata should not contaminate us. The Tamil Nadu government has given us free footwear. This bhumadevi is dangerous, you could catch scabies from it……We are now majority (in the Kanyakumari district) from 42 per cent we have crossed 62 per cent. Soon we would be 70 per cent. You cannot stop us. I am saying this as a warning to my Hindu brothers.”
In May, 2020, one Shokit Ali Shaheen, who claimed to be General Secretary of the National Students’ Union of India, blatantly degraded the Hindus and the Hindu religion on Facebook. The comments made by him are not only derogatory but amounts to lowering down the image of Hindus and Hindu religion. He said, “Hindu is terrorist religion on Earth’, “There are 57 Islamic countries and Islam is shining in the whole world….Quran is the guide of science…”, “Hindu only spreading religion pollution in our India….my India will become Islamic State”.
While citing several other instances, the plea stated that the buck does not stop here when it comes to blatant hatred against Hindus. "Even songs of “Qawwalis” (Muslim devotional music) have been made inciting hatred against Hindus and calling upon Muslims to kill Hindus. Like:
'Kaafir ka sar kaat ke rakh denge'. (We will behead the
infidels).
'Ek baar mein mit jayega 100 baar ka jhagda, bullaun kya Ali ko' (The 100 quarrels will be erased in one time, should I call Ali).
'Allah waale haathon se maar hi dalenge (Allah’s people will kill you with their hands).
'Mere qaum ke bachchon, haathon mein mobile nahi talwar chahiye' (The children of my community, you do not need mobile but swords in your hands).
'Fenk denge kaat kar aadha idhar aadha udhar' (We will cut you and throw one half here and one half there).
'Jo bhi aya saamne usko cheerenge aur faadenge' (We will slay whoever comes in our way).
The plea also said it is pertinent to mention that even some stand-up comedians namely Munawar Faruqui, Alexander Babu, Aadar Malik, Surleen Kaur and Sanjay Rajoura blatantly made crass and insulting jokes on Hindu Gods and Hindu religion.
The plea also referred to hate crimes committed allegedly by Muslims including killings of leader of Hindu Samaj Party Kamlesh Tiwari, Delhi police head constable Ratan Lal, Intelligence Bureau officer Ankit Sharma, Chandan Gupta, and beheading a tailor in Rajasthan.
Besides, the plea alleged that Christian missionaries are working in whole of India at different places.
"Owing to poverty and giving allurement they take advantage mostly of SC/ST Hindus and unethically convert them to Christianity. It is not out of place to mention that in Meghalaya, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, state of Odisha and other places in India the Christian missionaries are trying to convert the innocent Hindus taking advantage of the situation," it said.
