The bench of Justices MR Shah and BV Nagarathna to pronounce judgement in the matter of TN Godavarman Thirumulpad Vs UOI.

Order

Chief Conservator Forest and Nodal officer to consider the application and give suggestions. The govt of India will consider the application wrt law and the definition of forest given by the court.

Order

The metro corridor- suggestions to be given to MoEF and Govt of Del Parameters given by  court and govt to be borne in mind.

Decision to be taken by concerned dept wrt CEC.

NCT of Delhi to involve students, citizens etc in planting of trees and saplings. Report to be submitted in 12 weeks for the consideration of this court.

SC: Mr Shroff, this is direction to your client regarding planting of trees.
Shroff: Obliged, my lords.
