Law Minister lambasts Rahul Gandhi for his comment in the UK

NEW DELHI: Law Minister Kiren Rijiju has lambasted Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, saying he lied in London about India Parliament and should apologise for it.

It is not of interest to us that Rahul Gandhi has destroyed Congress party. But no one can stay silent when it comes to national interest. Anything related to the nation is a matter for interest for us, he told reporters.

"Rahul Gandhi is an MP and he is not above other Members of Parliament. He shouldn't treat Indian Parliament as his personal fiefdom. He lied inside the House and he lied about Parliament in Foreign soil.  He must apologize. He is not above our Parliament," he tweeted.

"Democracy is all about people. If the People of India do not have any faith in Rahul Gandhi's failed, & visionless leadership, why is Shri Rahul Gandhi tarnishing the country's image," he added.

Criticising Rahul Gandhi further for his comment that Indian democracy is under threat, Rijiju said anti India forces speak the same language.

He also said Congress party should be indebted for the people of India for having given the maximum opportunity to serve the country.
