SC enhances compensation for child victim of road mishap victim

NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court has directed for payment of enhanced the compensation to a young girl, who suffered 75 per cent intellectual disability following a road accident in 2009, after finding her precarious medical condition stating “effectively, while her body grows, she will remain a small baby.”

A bench of Justices B R Gavai and K V Viswanathan raised the amount from Rs 11.51 lakh to Rs 50.87 lakh for Baby Sakshi Greola under various heads.
