SC Quashes Bombay HC Judgment That Stayed CRZ Clearance For Roads Worth 14000-crore Rupees

The Supreme Court today (December 17, 2019) stayed the Bombay High Court Judgment of July 16, 2019 that had quashed the CRZ clearances to ambitious Rs 14,000-crore coastal road projects in Mumbai.

As per Governments CRZ notification, the coastal land up to 500m from the High Tide Line and a stage of 100m along the banks of creeks, estuaries, backwater and rivers subject to tidal fluctuations, is called the Coastal Regulation Zone

The Supreme Court told the Maharashtra Government and others that, You make the roads; development and other things, we would consider.
