SC To Hear Joint Petitions Filed By Students Of JMI And AMU Today

Joint Petitions have been filed in the Supreme Court by JMI and AMU students. The SC will hear the matter today (December 17, 2019).

Petitioner 1 and 2 are current students of Jamia Millia Islamia. Petitioner 3 to 5 are Aligarh Muslim Universitys alumini. Petitioner 6 is a JMI alumini.

The SC bench led by the Chief Justice of India, SA Bobde will hear the petition against police excesses on the students protesting against Citizenship Amendment Act, 2019.

Another petition was filed in the Supreme Court in the Jamia Millia case today. Vishnu Gupta chief of Hindu Sena filed the petition. The petition has demanded that it should be investigated under the supervision of LG. The Court will hear all the petitions today.
