NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court on Friday directed for making an effort to persuade farmers, organising a sit in at Shambhu border of Punjab and Haryana to clear Highways for smooth travel, suggesting they may temporarily suspend their agitation.
A bench of Justices Surya Kant and Ujjal Bhuyan also directed for giving immediate medical aid to Punjab's farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal, who has been on fast the last 17 days.
