HC asks Advocates to submit Video Clipping of Arguments [Read Order]

In a first of its kind instance, the Delhi High Court, on Monday (June 1, 2020), asked the parties in the case titled Sat Prakash Soni vs Union of India and Ors. to submit a 15-minute-long video of their arguments as part of their submission for the hearing.

The Court allowed the preponement of the hearing, as pleaded by the petitioner and instructed them to file a brief note of their submissions of not more than three pages along with copies of relevant pages of relevant documents on record and judgement copies they want to rely on along with the above in a week. 

Counsels to both the parties were also asked to file an additional two-page note in respond to the opposite party along with a 10-minute recording of their response to the submission, one week thereafter.

They were further required to submit hard copies of their submission to the court master.

The order was passed by Bench comprising of Justice Brijesh Sethi and Justice JR Midha on June 1, 2020.
