A bench of Justice AM Khanwilkar and Justice JB Pardiwala is hearing the plea.

Petitioner seeks issuance of notice.

Court: Why did you get this delinked? All this will be relevant for those cases also

AshwiniUpadhyay : This is different because ECI has also recommended the same thing

Court: The further directions that you are seeking can be heard with the connected matters, why was this delinked

AshwiniUpadhyay : Today I am seeking that Court issues notice to ECI

Court: this is not specific to ECI, also you have not made it a party, how can we issue notice.

Court: During election or otherwise, the regime should be same for hate speech..

Ashwini Upadhyay reads from his submissions. Refers to Amish Devgan case.

Court refers to prayer clause from the plea.

Court: How is different from other matters? All these issues are overlapping

Court: we dont think this is in anyway different... there is no need for multiplying litigation
