Supreme Court to Commemorate First Ever International Day of Women Judges on March 10, 2022 [Read Press Note]

Supreme Court Commemorate International Day Women Judges

The Supreme Court is set to commemorate the first ever International Day of Women Judges tomorrow, that is 10 March 2022. 

As directed by the Honble Chief Justice of India, the Registry of Supreme Court will host a special programme which will be conducted through online mode at 5 pm tomorrow. 

The event is being organized in furtherance of a United Nations General Assembly resolution which had resolved on 28 April to proclaim 10 March of every year as the International Day of Women Judges. It called upon the Member States to observe the same in order to promote full and equal participation of women at all levels of judiciary.

All the women Honble Judges of the Constitutional Courts and all the women Judicial Officers from across the country are invited to join the program, online the press release states.

Honble Chief Justice of India N.V Ramana, Justice Indira Banerjee, Justice Hima Kohli, Justice B.V. Nagarathna and Justice Bela M Trivedi, Honble judges of the Supreme Court will take part in the event.
