Supreme Court INX Media Karti Chidambaram

Supreme Court allows INX Media case accused  Karti Chidambaram to travel abroad from October 25 to November 1.

SG Tushar Mehta tells Court that Karti isn't cooperating in probe & skipping summons.

SupremeCourt allows Congress MP Karti Chidambaram's application to travel abroad on a condition of depositing Rs. 1 crore.

The application was opposed by SG Mehta who submitted that Chidambaram hasn’t cooperated in investigation & not appropriately responded to summons issued

SC asks SG to file an affidavit in this regard, issue to be dealt with later.

“That aspect can be dealt with in detail after affidavit is filed. For time being we permit applicant to travel abroad from period between 25th October to 21st November 2021 as prayed.” Bench said.
