The Allahabad High Court Bar Association to provide an amount of five lakh rupees to the families or nominees of advocates who died as a result of COVID-19 after April 1, 2021 [READ RESOLUTION]

In a significant move, the Allahabad High Court Bar Association has decided to provide financial assistance (of Rs. 5 Lakh) to the families/Nominees of those Advocates who have died due to novel Coronavirus.

The Association's executive body passed a resolution to this effect on Friday, (April 16, 2021).

According to the resolution, 5 lakh rupees will be granted to the families/nominees of advocates who died after April 1, 2021. (due to Coronavirus). Aside from that, the executive body has agreed to offer urgent medical services to COVID-19-affected Advocates who are now hospitalised and awaiting treatment.

Further, as per the resolution, advocates that are seeking medical care can give their information to the bar association's telephone number 9450613890 or 7785804544 such that they may receive financial assistance (through RTGS medium). Such Advocates must have their full name, registration number, bank account number, Indian Financial System Code (IFSC code), and bar association's computer number in their letter, which they must then address to one of the two numbers provided by the Association.
