Lawyer Chambers can be converted into temporary COVID hospital: Awadh Bar Association to ACJ of Allahabad HC

The Awadh Bar Association, Lucknow has written a letter to the Acting Chief Justice of Allahabad HC, Sanjay Yadav, requesting him politely for the conversion of lawyers chambers into temporary COVID-19 wards.

The association has requested that block D, E, F for advocates chamber, parking and auditorium  be used as a 100 bed COVID Hospital.

The letter was sent to Sanjay Yadav by the President of Bar, H.G.S Parihar. 

It additionaly stated that more than 10,000 lawyers are practicing in HC Lucknows Bench and that such lawyers need medical help. It also remarked stated that due to lack of treatment, the association has lost many of its beloved members in recent times.

The letter sought help from the State Government for providing adequate healthcare to the lawyers. 

It further requested that 100 cylinders of oxygen be also made available for emergency situations. 

Highlighting the demise of multiple members due to the second corona wave, the letter also elucidated on the lack of medical infrastructure in and around Delhi.
