Bar Association Issues Notice to 5 Advocates for Working at 'Boycotted' Courts

On November 5, 2020, the Mathura Bar Association boycotted the Chief Judicial Magistrate and Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate of the first court for harassing the members of the bar and for the unnecessary delay in the delivery of justice by these courts.

After the boycott, an office-bearer of the bar found 5 lawyers including the former joint secretary of the Mathura Bar association L.K. Gautam, senior advocate Arjun Singh, Tejpal Singh, Laik Singh, and Badan Singh to be working in those boycotted courts.

After finding the same, the bar issued a show-cause notice asking the lawyers to submit the reasons for doing the act within 3 days. On November 9, 2020, the bar called on a meeting of the working committee and the advisory committee to decide the case further.
