Bollywood Song Yeh Andha Kanoon Hai Played Amidst Ongoing Proceedings In Bombay Court

Recently, in a bizarre development, people present in Mumbai's Bandra Court on Saturday (January 18, 2020) were left shocked after a popular Bollywood song "Yeh Andha Kanoon Hai" from Rajinikanth's movie was played in the courtroom. The peculiar incident, which also shocked the magistrate, took place when the court was hearing bail applications in difference cases, the newspaper Mid-day reported. "Youhave money for statues, but not for patients," the Bombay High Court toldthe Maharashtra Government over freezing funds of Government hospitals.

"Yeh Andha kanoon Hai" is a song from the Bollywood movie "Andha Kanoon" starring Rajinikanth, Hema Malini & Reena Roy in the lead roles.

According to a report, the sound was coming from an unclaimed bag in the courtroom. As soon as the music started playing, a police constable rushed towards the bag & stopped it. The cop also found a chit with "bomb" written on it.

Taking cognisance of the matter, a Bomb Detection & Disposal Squad (BDDS) was informed. "Nothing was found in it. We suspect somebody left it inside the court," a senior police officer was quoted as saying by Mid-day.

"The entire courtroom, including the magistrate, was surprised when the loud film song was heard," a senior lawyer from the Bandra court said. On inspection, a Bluetooth cell phone speaker was found in the bag.
