Delhi High Court sitting judge Justice Valmiki Mehta passed away today (March 1, 2019) morning. He suffered a heart attack.
Born on June 6, 1959, at Mumbai, Justice Mehta finished schooling from Kendriya Vidyalaya, Vishakhapatnam and thereafter completed graduation in B.Com (H) from Sri Venkateshwara College, Delhi University.
After pursuing LL.B. from Campus Law Centre, Delhi University, he enrolled with Delhi Bar Council in 1982. Justice Mehta assumed office as Additional Judge of the Delhi High Court on April 15, 2009, and was designated as a Senior Advocate in 2001, at the age of 42 years.
