Gujarat High Court Gujarati Language

Gujarat High Court has decided to upload one important judgment in the Gujarati language daily on its website. This unique initiative has been launched from 2nd October, the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.

Chief Justice of Gujarat High Court Mr. Justice Vikram Nath had expressed his desire to upload daily one judgment on its website in Gujarati language. The Judges of the Artificial Intelligence Committee of the Gujarat High Court also recommended the same. Now the high court has started uploading the one order or judgment per working day in the Gujarati language on its website for the benefit of litigants and the general public.

The orders/judgments passed by the Gujarat High Court on socially relevant issues would be selected for this purpose. According to sources, the vernacular translation of such orders and judgments would be for general information only. The original English version of the order/judgment as passed by the Court will be continued to be treated as authentic for official purposes. To access the Gujarati translated judgments of the High Court, a separate section -Select Orders/Judgments in Gujarati has been created on the Gujarat High Court website.
