Soli Sorabjee, one of Indias finest legal minds and personalities, passes away at the age of 91.
He had contracted the novel corona virus and had been under going treatment for the same in a private hospital in South Delhi. Late Mr. Sorabjee was the major part of the Legal profession in India for nearly two decades. He was also the Attorney General for India, not once, but twice, first from 1989 to 1990, and the second from 1998 to 2004, this was during the first term of the NDA government.
He was born in the year 1930, and he began his legal practice in the year 1953. In 1971, he was designated as the senior counsel by the Supreme Court. Late Mr. Sorabjee began his term as a UN Special Rapporteur for Nigeria in 1997.
