New Delhi: The High Court of Delhi has notified Thursday, 27th August 2026, as a holiday for the High Court and the courts subordinate to it. The notification, issued on 21st August 2026 by Registrar General Arun Bhardwaj, designates compensatory working days in its place.
In lieu of the holiday, the third Saturday, 19th September 2026, will now be a court sitting day for the High Court, while the second Saturday, 12th September 2026, will be a sitting day for the subordinate courts.
Cases originally listed for 27th August 2026 will instead be taken up on Monday, 31st August 2026, before the High Court, and on Saturday, 29th August 2026, before the subordinate courts, in addition to the matters already scheduled for those dates.
