New Delhi: The Supreme Court Collegium, in its meeting held on 10th September, 2026, has approved proposals for the appointment of fifteen Judicial Officers as Judges of four High Courts of Delhi, Jharkhand, Karnataka, and Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh with the recommendations released through four separate statements issued the same day.
The largest of the four recommendations concerns the High Court of Delhi, for which the Collegium has approved the elevation of eight Judicial Officers: Shri Gurvinder Pal Singh, Smt. Nivedita Anil Sharma, Smt. Nisha Sahay Saxena, Shri Sanjay Sharma-I, Shri Bharat Parashar, Dr. (Smt.) Aditi Choudhary, Shri Dinesh Bhatt, and Shri Arun Bhardwaj.
For the High Court of Jharkhand, the Collegium has approved the appointment of three Judicial Officers as Judges Shri Manoj Prasad, Shri Akhil Kumar, and Shri Ram Sharma.
For the High Court of Karnataka, three Judicial Officers have similarly been cleared for elevation to the Bench Smt. Usharani, Shri K.S. Bharath Kumar, and Smt. Nerale Veerabhadraiah Bhavani.
For the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, the Collegium has approved the appointment of Shri Yash Paul Bourney, Judicial Officer, as a Judge.
