SC Reconstitutes Gender Sensitisation and Internal Complaints Committee Justice BV Nagarathna Continues as Chairperson

New Delhi: The Supreme Court has reconstituted its Gender Sensitisation and Internal Complaints Committee, with Justice B.V. Nagarathna continuing as Chairperson. An office order to this effect was issued on Tuesday, with the reconstituted committee coming into effect from May 28, 2026.

Justice N. Kotiswar Singh has been retained as a judicial member of the committee.

Among the new members inducted are Senior Advocate Liz Mathew, Advocate Maheravish Rein, and Sneh Sharma, founder of Vividhta Consulting. They replace Senior Advocate Jaideep Gupta, Advocate Soumyajit Pani, and Leni Chaudhuri, respectively.

Senior Advocate Menaka Guruswamy and Advocate Nina Gupta continue as representatives of the Supreme Court Bar Association. Advocate Sakshi Banga has also been retained as a representative of the Supreme Court Bar Association.

Advocate Prabha Swami has been included as the representative of the Supreme Court Advocates-on-Record Association in place of Advocate Anindita Pujari.

Registrar (Judicial) Kaveri has been appointed Member Secretary of the committee. Sushma Rawat replaces Madhu Chauhan as the representative of the Supreme Court Bar Clerks’ Association.

  • Judicial Member: Justice N. Kotiswar Singh
  • Member Secretary: Registrar (Judicial) Kaveri
  • New Members: Senior Advocate Liz Mathew; Advocate Maheravish Rein; Sneh Sharma, Founder of Vividhta Consulting
  • Continuing SCBA Representatives: Senior Advocate Menaka Guruswamy; Advocate Nina Gupta; Advocate Sakshi Banga
  • SCAORA Representative: Advocate Prabha Swami (replacing Advocate Anindita Pujari)
  • Bar Clerks’ Association Representative: Sushma Rawat (replacing Madhu Chauhan)
  • Effective Date: May 28, 2026
