New Delhi: The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended the elevation of three sitting High Court Chief Justices as Judges of the Supreme Court, according to a statement issued following the Collegium's meeting held on 28th September, 2026.
The Collegium recommended Mrs. Justice Sunita Agarwal, presently Chief Justice of the High Court of Gujarat, whose parent High Court is Allahabad, for elevation to the Supreme Court.
It also recommended Mr. Justice Devendra Kumar Upadhyaya, presently Chief Justice of the High Court of Delhi, whose parent High Court is likewise Allahabad.
The third recommendation is for Mr. Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh, presently Chief Justice of the High Court for the State of Telangana, whose parent High Court is Jharkhand.
The Supreme Court Collegium in its meeting held on 28th September, 2026 has recommended elevation of the following Chief Justices of the High Courts as Judges in the Supreme Court.
